Andy Welsh: Say Goodbye to the Little Engine that Couldn’t, Most of the Time

By: Sam | Comments 8 Comments

Really, I don’t know if this is true, the only thing I’ve heard about this was at Bigsoccer, where I read that apparently, Welsh told everyone at training he was leaving for Blackpool FC in the Championship.
Is this a good thing?
Yeah, it is. Welsh, touted as one of the best players on the squad […]

Gone for a few days

By: Sam | Comments 2 Comments

I’m gone for a few days for the last little bit of the summer, and I’ll be back on Sunday, after TFC’s clash with DC. If you’re religious, pray for a goal. If you’re not, pray as well. I’ll try anything at this point.

Some rat bastard is stealing my MLSLive.tv account, so I can’t watch the Red Bulls-United match I’ve been waiting for all week. Fuck this!

Cunningham and O’Brien Out for the Rest of the Season

By: Sam | Comments 2 Comments

Just fricking brilliant, that’s really all we needed. Nine games left, playoff hopes all but abandoned, now we get to cope with the news that our all-star midfielder is out for a few months with a torn meniscus (?) in his right knee and our veteran striker’s sports hernia was treated wrong and now we […]

New York 3 TFC 0: Who Needs Goals when you can Suck?

By: Sam | Comments 20 Comments

Bloody depressing. Let’s point out the bad:
-TFC’s defenders could not control the ball.
-TFC’s midfielders could not receive the ball without giving it away.
-TFC’s strikers could not touch the ball.
-TFC let the Red Bulls walk around without thinking to challenge in any way.
-TFC was bad at defending corner kicks.
-So on.
Let’s point out the good:
-Kenny Stamatopoulos looks […]

As if we really needed more evidence, we got it. After yesterday’s match against LA, it’s become even clearer.
Toronto FC has the best supporters in the league.
Here’s to you, Red Patch Boys, U-Sector, Tribal Rythm Nation, North End Elite, Ceilidh House Hoolies: good work, and keep those streamers comin’.

TFC 0 Los Angeles 0: Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve

By: Sam | Comments 7 Comments

Okay, Jeeves, I got a question for you. How the bloody hell did Toronto not win by forty goals tonight?
This, besides the Dallas game, was probably the best the boys have played all season (or the best they’ve ever played, while we’re at it). Thanks to the Galaxy for turning the ball over so much, […]
