TFC 0 Real Salt Lake 0:

By: Sam | Comments 7 Comments

822. TFC! TFC!
NOTICE: I’m vacating my post at the Toronto FC Offside. This isn’t because I’m fed up with the results, it’s a personal decision. I’m still very much a TFC fan. If you’re interested in taking over, let me know either here with a comment or at torontofc@theoffside.com . That or you can let […]

New York 3 TFC 0: Who Needs Goals when you can Suck?

By: Sam | Comments 20 Comments

Bloody depressing. Let’s point out the bad:
-TFC’s defenders could not control the ball.
-TFC’s midfielders could not receive the ball without giving it away.
-TFC’s strikers could not touch the ball.
-TFC let the Red Bulls walk around without thinking to challenge in any way.
-TFC was bad at defending corner kicks.
-So on.
Let’s point out the good:
-Kenny Stamatopoulos looks […]

TFC 0 Los Angeles 0: Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve

By: Sam | Comments 7 Comments

Okay, Jeeves, I got a question for you. How the bloody hell did Toronto not win by forty goals tonight?
This, besides the Dallas game, was probably the best the boys have played all season (or the best they’ve ever played, while we’re at it). Thanks to the Galaxy for turning the ball over so much, […]

TFC 0 Chicago 3: While our Backline Gently Sleeps

By: Sam | Comments 15 Comments

Before I say anything about how badly Toronto got outplayed by Cuacua Blanco and co., I just have to say this: Calen Carr is the ugliest human being on the face of the earth. There.
So folks, if you had the misfortune of watching today’s match as a Toronto fan, you’ll know that the boys put […]

Houston 0 TFC 0: Take yer MLS Record, We’ll Take a Point

By: Sam | Comments 1 Comment

Analysis:
You want it? You want it? Aw, you can’t have it!
That’s to quote every single TFC player that played in Sunday’s game against Houston. Playing down a man after Maurice Edu’s sending-off near the end of the first half, the Dynamo had chance upon chance after chance, but couldn’t finish the job and had […]

Salt Lake 1 TFC 2: Succulent Second Half Equals First Road Win

By: Sam | Comments No Comments

Scorers:
TFC- Cunningham 19′
RSL- Eskandarian 45′
TFC- Samuel 79′
Analysis:
No doubt about it, it was our first ever road win, and a very entertaining one. Lots of scrap-happy post-whistle nonsense, good combinations from both sides and a general lack of good finishing. Rice-Eccles was in a real good mood (fueled in part by Jeff Cunningham’s eventful performance) and […]

New England 3 TFC 0: You want sloppy and boring? You got it!

By: Sam | Comments 1 Comment

Scorers:
NE- Dorman 13′
NE- Noonan 33′
NE- Dorman 81′
Analysis:
What is it with us? How can we win so well against Dallas and then lose so pathetically to New England? How can a midfield go from so dominant to so confusingly incompetent from one game to the next? We’re beginning to look like the Tottenham of the MLS.
With […]

TFC 4 Dallas 0: Well, That Was Pretty Much Flawless

By: Sam | Comments 8 Comments

Scorers:
TFC- Edu 22′
TFC- Dichio 25′
TFC- Robinson 65′
TFC- Cunningham 90′+2
Analysis:
Well, I could wrap up this whole recap in one single word (the word being “ownage”), but I guess it’s my duty to develop and tell you exactly how much of an ownage it really was. Toronto, especially Toronto’s midfield, played a simply awesome ninety minutes, but […]
