A new begining or something like that
By: nicholas | September 25th, 2007I just read an article on TFC’s website; it focuses on the players that Coach Mo Intends to build around for next season… and that got me thinking …. What players would i build the team around for next Season?
•Danny Dichio – Although a fan favorite, he has shown a lack of pace, and he sometimes gives the ball away too easily, but you can’t deny his willingness to do the dirty work for his team.
•Ronnie O’Brian – For some reason TFC can’t seam to score without this lucky Irishman on the field, so why fight it.
•Carl Robinson- I have mixed feelings about this guy, I personally believe he is inconsistent: one game he will be making great passes and just being a nuisance to the opposition and another day he will making a lot of bad passes and wasting free kicks.( I am yet to see the benefit of his quick free kicks…. )
•Maurice Adu – What can I say, a little inconsistent (to be expected for a rookie,) But Maurice Adu has been great for most of the season
I have named the four I would keep. If you believe, I have left anyone out; please feel free to comment ….
As of NOW, I will be making weekly post, on the in and outs of the Toronto FC. I am a Red Patch Boy member so I am somewhat in the now about some of the away trips that our support groups will be planning in the future.
My name is Nick or you can just call me “the special one ” …….
PS. And for those that voted on the name of our hawk….. (Bitchy) lol…. that is just classic… haha…

edus, wynne, marshall, o’brien, dichio
hehe and lombardo (nick you will see that i am the biggest lombardo fan here so i had to put that in just piss of people like Figo haha)
i dont reallly like robinson because of his inconsistency. i dunno some people really like him but i dont see any benefit of having him as our highest paid midfielder (as i believe he is…not sure though)
also, welcome to the blog!! hopefully your posts will be just as good as Sams:)

Welcome aboard Nick, glad to have you replacing me. If I had to pick five players that we need to protect, I’d say Edu, Wynne, O’Brien, Robinson and Dunivant.
I think we’re gonna get along just fine.

If Lombardo is on the team next year I will swallow a pound of BMO turf gravel. I hear that stuff is edible.
I would build the team around Dichio. He is a tough bastard, and that is enough for me. The other players are all questionable. Edu will probably leave for Europe in a year or two, so why bother with him. Might as well trade him now for a draft pick. Samuel stinks, so he should join Lombardo working at the downtown carwash. I will throw him an extra dime for a tip. But he will have to kick it out of the air first.Posted from

My top five, I know it ain’t going to happen, but just imagine: M. Essien, J. Riquelme, T. Henry, F. Cannavaro, F. Ribery. Nobody in the MLS could touch this team, even if the rest of the squad were made up of Lombardo, his analyst, his parents, and his pet hamster.
