By: nicholas | March 21st, 2008So with the emergence of the CSF, the CSA has decided to make a move that would seam like an olvie branch. On thursday March, 20 , The CSA has announced that Stephen Hart will become the new Technical Director. Intresting news, but not all that surprising. With Fred Nykamp suing the Canadian Soccer Association for more than $1.75 million ( a healthy chunk of the CSA annual budget), it was all the more likely that they would hire a realitve no-name to the position.
Do not get me wrong, Stephen hart has been with the CSA as a coach for a long time, and may just be the right person to massage all those egoes on the board and instill change in an association that has been begging for it. But i am weary to the fact , that this could be putting a bandaid on a very serious problem.
