First 3 Games Scheduled!!!

Why is there a baseball stadium on a soccer blog? Well, because this venue is where TFC will be opening their season on Saturday March 21 at 8:30 pm. It is Community America Ballpark, in Kansas City.
Today, MLS released the schedule for the first three games of the season. After starting off in KC, our boys visit the MLS Cup Champions in Columbust on Saturday, March 28th (4 pm). The week after, we have our home opener against Freddie Ljungberg and his Calvin Klein undies (Saturday, April 4th, 3 pm).
At first, I thought Kansas City is too far (1675 km) to travel a couple weeks before uni exams, but I got that nonsense out of my head after about half an hour. Return flights from Buffalo (with a stop in Cincy on the way there and Detroit on the way back) is $159. Very doable. See you in Missouri!
In other news, it’s being rumoured (again) that Nuno Gomes is on Mo’s christmas list. While he hasn’t been great in the Portuguese league in recent years, I believe that he would definitely be good for 12-15 goals in MLS. Keep your eyes open for a DP move in the early new year.
Finally, the new TFC shirts (home and away) will be released on December 5th at 10 am at CentreSports in the Air Canada Centre. Be there, pay a fortune, and wear your red proudly.
