Hello Mr. Fish

TRADER MO HAS STRUCK AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!

Every year, you can always expect certain things to happen in the MLS
THE BIG FISH

1. There is an Older European player who, underestimated the level of play in the MLS.

This year, we have had a number of examples to add to the growing list of euro washouts. This year, there was Abel Xavier, Claudio Reyna, and as of 6pm today Laurent Robert. Yes! you are reading that correctly. Laurent Robert has been waived by Toronto FC.

Laurent Robert play with Toronto FC this year has been less than spectacular. His inability to be consistent on either offense or defense is what i hated the most about the player. But to be honest, we were warned about his defensive frailties, right from the get go and with the addition of a younger Johan smith, the writing was on the wall.

2. A young up and coming player leaves MLS for Europe.

This year we have had Brad Guzan, Jozy Altidore and if Mo Edu can receive a work permit in Scotland, he will be the third player to leave MLS this year. My views on MO’s departure can be seen here, but i am going to add one more thing to that article.

Mo was one of the few bright spots in our inaugural season. His ability to break up a tackle as well as score goals. led to some unrealistic comparisons of a black Micheal Balack or Ghana’s Micheal Essian. But i would like to make one thing clear, Mo play this year has not been the greatest, leading many to believe that he was either packing it in for the season, just waiting for an opportunity like this (eerily similar to Freddy Adu time in Salt lake), or has the upgrade in talent at BMO field, allowed fans to truly see Mo’s talent for what it is.

3. LA Galaxy will suck ( cant help but make fun ).

If you want LA news go here. But i will say this the hiring of Bruce Arena is probably one of the worst decisions LA could have made. Just ask Dave over at the red bulls offside about all the shenanigans good ole Bruise caused, during his stay.

4. Trader MO will make a big splash in the trade market.

If you were ever starting to wonder, what ever happened to the Trader Mo we know and love. Well it seems that he went fishing and bag himself a big one. Carlos Ruiz is his name and scoring is his game ( or for the haters out there flopping is his game). Depending on what team you have supported in the past you either love the player or hate the player. ( Personally i honestly believe that FC Dallas was stupid for letting him go in the first place and LA being stupid for signing him)

Many TFC fans may remember this flopping fish last year when Canada played Guatemala in the Gold Cup and when TFC played FC Dallas in the regular season. He became Public Enemy number one in the Great White North in just two games. I wonder what he would do with 20,000 TFC red supporters behind him. i can see it now, Carlos Ruiz has caused another team to lose prized defender from game because of Ruiz’s zanny antics. ( here is an example of player gone wild)

With the addition of Carlos Ruiz, Toronto FC now has 6 strikers and i am not even counting the new Derek Gaudette guy. It is always easy to look at the teams lack of scoring and blame the strikers, but what many are missing is that the midfield has not provided many opportunities for the strikers to latch on to, and what many TFC fans don’t realize is that TFC has not scored in the run of play since the Montreal game.

What TFC should be looking at is a midfield player who can make the decisive final pass into space for the attacker and be able to control the speed and tempo of the game. Amada Guevara is that kind of player but when he is missing, TFC has no bite to its attack and that was very observant in the last couple of games.

AND FINALLY…………………..

It seems that Maurice Edu transfer fee of 5 million dollars can benefit TFC in more ways than one … to find out how (click here)

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE MOVE… ( ARE YOU EXCITED ARE YOU SAD TO SEE ROBERT GO >>.. drop a comment below)

If you end up with Ruiz, good luck. He has been a total bust this season for us in SoCal. So have fun with his beautiful art of not scoring.

Definitely won’t miss Robert. Hasn’t done anything all season.. although i did catch his goal on video in the first home game. Nice freekick lol.

As for Ruiz… hmmm, surely he can’t be that bad can he? Then again.. yes he can.. FUCK!
