Please Sign Me! (Part 2) (What recent results have taught us…)

By: Jon | August 14th, 2009

One thing has been made quite evident in the past two months or so. The Reds have no problem creating and carrying out the attack. Where we falter, however, is most definitely defense. What can we do to put a choke hold on the opposition?

Sol

That’s right, Sulzeer Jeremiah Campbell. Or…Sol. A player who needs no introduction, Sol has always been an impressive center back. With good stints at Tottenham and Portsmouth, he is best known for his success with Arsenal all the while racking up 73 caps for England’s national side in the last 13 years. Believe it or not, he is listed on the PFA´s website as a free agent.

He is 34, but you must admit, that is an impressive resume. His experience centering the back line of some of the greatest teams ever put together would surely have positive effect on the Reds and sure up the weak spots. What do you think? Sol it is. Not the one? Too old? More Haitian internationals?

Sol just decided he didn’t want to play at such a low level, so he’s available again :) .
