Someone’s Gotta Say it: The Referee Uniforms in the MLS are Ugly as Hell
By: Sam | June 13th, 2007
I’m back from my leave of absence, granted that was on Sunday, so I apologize for the slack, I’m just really lazy, busy and enthralled by the awesomeness of TFC to post as often as I wished I could.
But let’s get down to the chase. Those long-short-sleeved, small-striped, loose-to-the-max shirts that the officials of MLS wear are ass-ugly.
This is not completely related to Toronto FC, but come on, I just had to say so. How are you supposed to respect a man who wears what looks like a clown outfit?
Of course, it’s not like they look cool anywhere else. When I watch a Serie A match, I want to see the ref set the tone and look the part, not try out for the Flamboyant Olympics (sponsored by Spandex).
So yeah, that’s it, I’m not going to develop my argument further, I just wanted to say that I hate them jerseys. Why can’t they wear, say, the ones from the World Cup?
Thank you.
