T-4 Days: Meet the schedule
By: Sam | April 3rd, 2007Going into the home stretch before the season final-fricking-ly starts on April 7, I’ll be providing a daily look at what the team is looking like coming into the inaugral campaign. Today’s feature: A rundown Toronto FC’s season schedule.
I’m sure you know by now what Toronto’s first game is. April 7 at the Home Depot Center against Chivas USA. A good test to start the season (the season) against a talented side, but still not DC or Houston. A week later, on the 14th, we travel to New England to revolt against the Revolution. Then comes our first home game. Hold on. Nope. The Kansas City Wizards are next during the week, before kicking off our first home game against the same team on Saturday, April 28.
Other important dates:
Toronto have a tough week in mid-May, where they play Houston and DC back-to-back on the 16th and 19th.
Six straight matches on the road? Blah. From June 23 in New England to July 22 in Columbus, TFC will leave BMO for a good trek across America.
There’s the big Beckham game, possibly his first as a Galaxy (Galaxy member? Galactic? Star? Solar system? What do you call them?) at BMO on August 5.
Rematch of the first ever game on August 18 in Toronto.
Last game of the regular season on October 20 at home against New England.
