TFC’s history is flawless. Flawless, I tell you!
By: Sam | February 16th, 2007Two games played, two games won, four goals scored, zero goals allowed, one warning to everyone in the MLS. We’s gonna beat you!
The first match, was played against Florida International University on Tuesday in Sunrise, FL. Woo! Toronto’s first match! And nobody noticed! But we won! Colombian international Hector Hurtado provided the goooooool. This Hurtado guy, who I had no idea was training with TFC, has no Google cred, so I can’t tell you about him. Whatever, thanks for securing our first win. Alright!
The second, played today, February 16 against Honduras Five-Star, a local rag-tag group of guys from (guess which country) proved a great match for the good guys. Nothing happened in the first half, but in the second, Jamaican international Garfield Reid blasted a strike from long range to record the game’s first goal. Newly acquired Andrea Lombardo was called upon a little while later, and delivered. Crossing over to draft pick Hunter West, who smashed his header in, gave Toronto a two-goal cushion. The third came from West once again, who deftly suckered the goalkeeper and slid the ball in for the 3-0 goal on a nice pass from Hurtado.
Hopefully I’ll be able to garner some stuff about these new fellas and upcoming friendlies and training camp goings-on. Until then, go Toronto.

Looking forward to reading more about you upstarts.
Especially since you’re now the fielders of our own one-time son, Pepe — I still can’t believe Nicol let him go. Looking forward to 4/14!Posted from

Upstarts, indeed. I guess it’s good to see this type of optimism, but wow, seriously take a seat.
I will say you have plenty going for you. First non-contiguous, nor-union club of the MLS. Good color scheme for kits. Clean sheets so far.
And you played at Florida International - the team that was the other party in the Miami/FIU brawl earlier in the college football season.
The auguries are good with this one. Hail TFC, I guess
