The “Uh, what the hell?” rumour of the day: Craig Forrest training with the boys
By: Sam | April 10th, 2007
Now this I gotta see. Remember Craig Forrest, the guy who played for Ipswich Town and West Ham, the great Canadian goalkeeper who retired a few years ago? Yeah, well rumour has it that the same guy is on the field with Toronto to maybe suit up as Sutton’s backup. Now, I don’t believe that for a second. It was supposedly heard via a Sportsworld interview, but I’ve yet to find it anywhere. One thing’s for sure, if he does suit up, he has to wear that shirt or I’ll make him. Your thoughts?

The shirt is a must. It makes my fashion sense seem tasteful. Is there any concern that Sutton isn’t cut out to be the number one keeper?

Not to me. He was mighty fine in the preseason, and in the first game as well. And if someone’s gonna replace him for whatever reason, it for sure ain’t gonna be Forrest.

Sportsnet has it posted on their site. But Forrest is an analyst for Sportsnet so this may all be a bit of a publicity stunt.
