Toronto FC yesterday played there first game of the season yesterday against DC united. And as expected our bald headed Italian scored the first goal of the season after some quick and decisive passes from MIKE Zahar ( rookie) and Jarrod Smith (supplemental rookie )

Here are is John Carver thoughts on the game

“It’s only a pre-season game, but the pleasing thing was in the first half, even when we went one-nil down, we actually created the chances,” Carver said. “We had four or five good chances.”

Some other quick highlights

***Greg sutton played 45 minutes ( his first action since receiving the severe concussion last year
***Ronnie O’brien also played with a brace on his foot
***John Carver also told the media what kind of game he intends on playing this year: his time of year is about getting into game fitness. Carver also will be working on the type of game he wants the team to play.

I’m going to play a pressing game,” he said. “You can only play a pressing game if you get everybody understanding how to do it.”
