Video: The Dick’s got nothing on us
By: Sam | March 15th, 2007
Aren’t I the one with the provocative titles regarding Colorado’s new stadium complex. You see, that’s why they call me “Original Sam”. But with all the babble going on about that mighty fine piece of work in the mountains down there, people are paying less attention to BMO Field in Toronto, which is turning out to be a fine looking venue. More importantly however, it’s looking like the MLS couldn’t have come soon enough to Toronto, where, get this, 14,000 sets of seasons tickets have been sold. On top of that, all executive suites have been sold out, and the sales people at MLSE (Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment, owner of TFC) are soon launching two sets of packs that would see included matches against Houston, New York and LA, as well as international friendlies, which will be announced soon.
70% of all seats for this season are sold out already! Sounds like we’ll be treated to a hearty show of spectatorship come home games. Much of this thanks to Toronto FC’s loyal-to-be supporters groups.
Here is a video of what the stadium looked like a few months ago. This is the only one I could find, but as the ground gets better, I’ll find photos and videos. I also apologize for the horrendous music accompanying it. Don’t you just wish Linkin Park to die?
