Welcome To The Jungle, aka Our Midfield, Amado Guevara
By: Sam | May 2nd, 2007
Just when you thought our midfield couldn’t get another very talented player with a very high underperformance rate, Chivas USA and Toronto FC teamed up and made a deal that sent Paulo Nagamura and a draft pick to the LA-based team in exchange for the one, the only, Amado Guevara.
After a falling-out with his former club, the Honduran will come to Canada and try to bolster his reputation and statistics to what they were way back when he won Player of the Year with the MetroStars back in the day. We’ve yet to obtain official info, but I’ll take this piece of news as it is for now. What do you think about the Che’s grandson-twice removed (just kidding)? Will he be a good boy?

apparently to my knowledge from what i hear from a couple scouts, and agents. This deal is not a straight up trade, but also may involve the houston Dynamo. I have heard through my scouting class today, that houston is getting Guevara and TFC is gettting Rosario, to please the fans in case of a let down season.
Now two agents have said that the deal is not done, and three said at least Guevara to TFC is, however league approval always takes forever. This trade would be great as the fans would be happy with the local star, Rosario. But to me it sounds odd, why would houston trade him, and second mo has shown he loves his old players, case and point Marvel and that he wants them in Toronto, so why give Guevara up. Maybe above his head and some Maple Leaf and sports Entertainment simply appeasing it’s fans in case of a disasterous season, which is where it is headed. They need a lars hurschfield to push Sutton as he looks like a dead fish out there compared to his usl style.Posted from
