Well, it turns out television doesn’t hate Toronto FC after all

By: Sam | April 11th, 2007

badreception.jpgAh, silly me. I actually thought that television networks weren’t keen on broadcasting Toronto FC’s first season to viewers on the continent. Well, boy-oh-boy, was I wrong! It just took them a hell of a long time to get their shit together with the club. Not only are almost all the games available on basic cable, fourteen are available on basic lack of cable! CBC, an avid soccer fan as everyone knows, will be showing their share of matches to viewers everywhere, whether they’re satellite subscribers or ones with rabbit ears, struggling to get a half-decent reception. The Score and Rogers Sportsnet are the other stations that agreed to terms with TFC this week. Well, I’m happy. It’s a whole lot better than watching them on my computer via MLS Live.
